University of the Sunshine Coast Site Master Plan
Administration Building and Academic Building One

Maroochydore, Queensland, 1994 - 2006

The Queensland Government provided a site of 100 hectares at Mountain Creek Road, Tanawha, south of Buderim for the establishment of a new University on the Sunshine Coast.

The planned campus comprising buildings to house teaching, research, library and administrative and student services, has been developed on the site over a period of around 13 years, construction of the first two buildings having commenced in December 1994.

The architects completed the Site Master Plan for the project as well as the design and documentation for the Administration Building and Academic Building One. The buildings were handed over on schedule in late 1995 prior to the opening for students in February 1996.

The Master Plan was revisited in 2001 and more comprehensively in 2006, as the evolution of the surrounding context demanded a review and upgrade of the campus plan.
