Commercial
Central to Guida Moseley Brown Architects’ approach to design of commercial buildings is the guiding precept of the building’s relationship to a sense of place.
In that manner, the aim is to create buildings and spaces that are suggested by their surroundings while enhancing the vernacular of the local environment. First and foremost, however, the primary aim is to design buildings that work and function well and this is achieved through the adherence to the principle of designing from the inside out.
The building’s capacity to service its function is achieved through the implementation of rational, practical, pragmatic, modular, flexible and useful solutions. The design of the exterior then becomes a negotiation between the functional solution of the interior and the building’s surrounds.
