Justine Cox RAIA, Associate

Justine studied architecture at the University of New South Wales where her particular interest in energy efficient design was evident in the subject of her thesis Energy, Materials and Architecture, and in research undertaken while working for the National Solar Architecture Research Unit (SOLARCH) at the University

Since joining the firm in 1998, Justine has been involved in a wide range of design and documentation for small, medium and large-scale projects from preliminary sketch stages through to the provision of working drawings.  Projects have included two buildings on the University of Adelaide North Terrace Campus Redevelopment, the State Library of South Australia Redevelopment, and the new Mawson Lakes School in South Australia; the Peter Karmel Building at the Canberra School of Music, the High Commission for Brunei Darussalam, and the new Embassy for Afghanistan in Canberra. Justine has also worked as a staff architect on Security, Forecourt, and Stair Upgrade projects at Parliament House, Canberra; the interiors for a number of residential apartment developments; and the coordination of the interior fitout for new offices for the Department of Industry Tourism and Resources at Industry House in Canberra.

Her professional activities have included design studio tutoring at the University of Canberra.
