Andrew McKenna FRAIA, Senior Associate

After graduating in architecture with First Class Honours from the University of Adelaide in 1978, Andrew McKenna practised for two years in Adelaide before moving to Canberra to join the team at the Department of Housing and Construction working on the National Biological Standards Laboratory.

He joined Mitchell/Giurgola & Thorp Architects in 1981 to commence work on Australia’s Parliament House. He was the Project Architect for the Orchard Cineleisure Entertainment Centre, and the Changi Naval Institute in Singapore, the award- winning Gallery Redevelopment at the Australian War Memorial, the new Embassy of Afghanistan building, and the commercial offices for the Department of Industry Tourism and Resources in Canberra.
